A possible task list:

FlorianKonnertz, 2003/01/16 05:41 GMT (via web):
PageRating? is IMO a worthwhile feature.

FlorianKonnertz, 2003/01/29 16:42 GMT (via web):
I currently work on a rating feature. I added four properties in the ZWikiPage class: rating, rates_nr, rating_editors, last_rate_time; it uses a select form in the footer, submit calls the method analogue to the AddCommentForm?. I will post the patch soon.

Simon Michael, 2003/01/29 22:07 GMT (via mail):
Florian - cool! Even better, let us know when it's running on your site so we can come over and check it out.

Zwiki Page Rating on Plone? --Bill Page, Tue, 20 Apr 2004 17:00:12 -0700 reply
I have pulled the most recent CodeRepos and now I have page rating working in standard ZWiki but in Plone 2 I do not see the rating buttons even though I have checked off Zwiki: Rate pages (anonymous) under the security tab for my plone wiki. Is there something else that I have to do?

I haven't added it to the plone skin yet.

Most Popular Pages --DeanGoodmanson, Wed, 21 Apr 2004 07:05:15 -0700 reply
Is there a "MostPopularPages?" page that displays the results of the rankings that I overlooked?

Do you see a need to turn teh rating off, such as turning subtopics off?

Not yet, I haven't tried to catalog ratings yet. I think it'll work fine and we can come up with some interesting queries.

No special property is needed for this, it's just controlled by the new Zwiki: Rate pages permission.

How do you get page rating statistics? -- Fri, 05 Nov 2004 12:45:16 -0800 reply
ZopeWiki:ZopeWikiStats is very pretty! How do I get the rating data out of the page and into a format like that in ZopeWikiStats?

Have a look at the source for that page. Does that help ?

This requires DTML enabled in your wiki of course.

page rating decay? --DeanG, Thu, 02 Dec 2004 12:22:47 -0800 reply
What is this?

Page Rank --DeanG, Thu, 02 Dec 2004 12:23:57 -0800 reply
Is there any semantic difference between the term "Page Rank" (Pagerank?) and "Page-Rate"?

Search Uses --DeanG, Thu, 02 Dec 2004 12:26:03 -0800 reply

I like the idea of sorting search results on page rate. This allows Issue to be viewed by Weight, not just Severity.

It may solve (or alleviate) some of our SearchPage? issue priority listing with the new # issue scheme.

diminish the effect of old ratings, gradually, since only fresh ratings really say a page is currently good.

Yes. Our ratings are simple averages of explicit votes, unlike google's algorithm.

That would be neat. We are beginning to have enough ratings for them to be useful, perhaps (WikiStats, ZopeWiki:ZopeWikiStats).
