Although I like STX quite a bit, It's hard to ignore that reStructuredText is becoming a documentation standard for Python: http://docutils.sourceforge.net/rst.html

So, it makes sense to use the same markup standard for wiki pages that are intended to act as collaboration environments for Python developers.

Unfortunately I didn't had the time yet to have a Look at his code. But what he said looks like a promising starting point.
