After migration to Plone and resetting the folder properties, PurpleNumbers start again at zero.

Calculation of the highest number in the wiki fails apparently.

I will check this asap.

Last NID is stored as an attribute of the wiki folder. We'll be switching to a single server-wide counter which should fix this.

How to make Purple Numbers working?

According to the release note, I edited some old pages, and created new ones (in Plone), but no Purple Numbers appeared.

Create a 'use_purple_numbers' boolean property on the page or folder first.

(and check it).

Still linking problem in Plone --Samotnik, 2003/07/29 19:37 +0000 reply

Thank you. Creating property (for one subpage at the beginning) and checkig it was enough :)

Nids can be really usful in a case of very complicated discussions (general management issues, in the case of my portal, for example), when multitude of issues are deliberated. On the other hand, their application seems to be limited to such cases. Eventually, we can imagine a kind of expert system, relatively difficult to operate, but simple...

However, there still remains this awful problem of linking, mentioned by Florian in

and, as we can see, in his site it also exists. There are many other problems. For example this mentioned by Forian in

In each sublevel (correction} the first bullet is marked but not linked. The other problem is that subpages don't inherit the property of making Purple Numbers. So, I think it would take too much effort at this stage to develop this tool, and doubt if this effort is worth benefits.

AWFUL!!! AWFUL!!! I notoiced it only a while ago. After making a page Purple-friendly all comments are doubled! Above those existing, there appear their copies with headings formatted in standard way (seems they don't feel the change of timezone format included according to the issue 552).

Thanks for the feedback Samotnik. Let's continue this over on PurpleNumbers, so as to keep this issue focussed.
