Zope 2.6.1, CMF 1.3.2, Plone 1.0.5 : I install the zwiki with quickinstaller : OK Every time i want to edit a page and i want to save it the same error Attribute error parents!

... --Sat, 04 Oct 2003 01:55:25 -0700 reply

I have the same on 2.6.2, CMF 1.4 and Plone 2 beta, but only when I want to rename the page at the same time when it is created. Also I came up with another problem moved to separate issue

catalog setup issue ? --SimonMichael, Sat, 04 Oct 2003 10:16:08 -0700 reply

Thanks for the report. I assume you're using Zwiki 0.23rc3. It seems we now depend on the 'parents' metadata attribute being present in a cmf/plone site's portal_catalog. If you visit SOMEPAGE/setupCatalog I expect that error to go away.

I think the right thing to do is always call setupCatalog when installing Zwiki in a cmf/plone site. This adds a bunch of indexes & metadata to your portal_catalog (cf ZwikiAndZCatalog). NB these apply to all catalogable plone objects but will (hopefully!) be empty/harmless for non-pages.

made release-critical, separated second issue --SimonMichael, Sat, 04 Oct 2003 10:40:24 -0700 reply

Title: 'IssueNo0623? AttributeError?: parents' => 'IssueNo0623? AttributeError?: parents when saving a page after standard cmf/plone zwiki installation' Category: general => installation Severity: normal => serious

Title: 'IssueNo0623? AttributeError?: parents when saving a page after standard cmf/plone zwiki installation' => 'IssueNo0623? AttributeError?: parents when renaming or creating a page in cmf/plone'

fixed in cvs --SimonMichael, Sat, 04 Oct 2003 18:58:58 -0700 reply

This was rather involved, but should now be fixed. To solve the underlying problem, pages() now always returns brains with all the metadata Zwiki expects, going to the ZODB if it has to. This should make things more robust when a partial wiki catalog is present. Also, setupCatalog is now called automatically by the cmf install script, and we now have a "place":/zwikidir/tests/testCMFPlone.py for zwiki-in-cmf/plone unit tests.
