Would be nice if installation into CMF would cause file upload to create Portal Files. Then members could mamange the content through the CMF interface.

I use Plone2 / zwiki 0.28 and I find it awkward to have to go to ZMI to see the images that have been uploaded. Also, if normal users edit pages and upload files or images, they have no idea where these are stored. So they can't see what's available for linking to pages. Is it really that difficult to program ZWiki create a Portal Image and make it Visible or Published? Thanks, Marcos

No, not difficult. Patches gladly accepted.

Name: '#637 CMF: Upload creates 'File' object instead of 'Portal File'' => '#637 file upload should create Portal Files in CMF/Plone'

I broke down and worked on this.. _createFileOrImage() needs just a little more:

Any plone hackers out there want to help with this one ?
