Hello folks, this is just to let you know I am alive, well, and dipping my toe into the Zwiki mail/sysadmin/development work pile. If you sent me a mail, thanks for your patience.

epoz no longer available? --liamMT, Sun, 22 Jul 2007 13:51:55 -0700 reply

I was just installing and playing around with Zwiki within my current Plone site, (which mostly seems great!), but I noticed that the only WYSIWYG editor that seems to be supported by Zwiki (Epoz) has fallen off the face of the earth. This is sort of a deal-breaker for me, unfortunately, since my site requires WYSIWYG functinoality. Is there any chance that any of the other Plone-supported editors will work with Zwiki in the near-ish future? Thanks!

Epoz is still downloadable and working for me.. I updated the link on http://wiki.zope.org/zope2/EpozX recently.

I'll be offline for the next week, and back in August. May your wikis run smoothly!

Best - Simon

Epoz 2.0.2 works fine with ZWiki in Plone 2.1.x and Plone 2.5.x (haven't tested 3.x). Although Epoz appears in the list of installable products in Plone, you don't need to install it in Plone, as Epoz is a Zope product. In fact I recommend do not click the install button in Plone as it could fight with Kupu. We've had in production for almost 2 years now, ZWiki with Epoz 2.0.2, and Kupu being used for all other WYSYWIG editing in Plone. Works fine, and so does the link Simon pointed to. Good luck

Plone 3 wiki support --DeanG, Fri, 27 Jul 2007 13:15:09 -0700 reply

I'm puzzled (and annoyed, more later) by this feature. It seems they're adding WikiLinking? support across documents. Bravo! But why the "without the wiki aftertaste" smite? I'm guessing they need to remove the Wiki buzzword and replace it with WikiLink. But even there, the second complaint I've come to know from wikis (first:structure) has been: Knowing WikiNames when editing documents. It's not a taste, but a smell. I wonder how they'll approach that one. I guess it's all in the vernaculars. Happy Friday.

page history --Adaptive, Mon, 30 Jul 2007 09:57:50 -0700 reply

I have installed the latest Zwiki version, but I get the page history with the prev and next buttons instead of the numbered navigation that is displayed in this website. Also, the difftext is rendered with the html tags. Any ideas?

Zwiki.org is running code from the darcs repository, while you downloaded 0.59. Sometimes "latest" isn't latest :-) The code in darcs has numerous changes in respect to the page history. At some point we will have a new release, otherwise you could try getting the code from darcs if you like to experiment, see CodeRepos.
