People used to have old wikis based on CMFWiki, and this how-to explained how to convert them to Zwiki. You can ignore it now.

To migrate a CMFWiki to a Zwiki:

  1. Make a backup. Always make a backup of your Data.fs before migration or upgrading Zope or a Zope product.

  2. Copy http://gewis.nl/~pieterb/zwiki/migrate_cmfwiki.py.txt to your Zope/Extensions directory.

  3. Create an External Method named migrate_cmfwiki:

    id: migrate_cmfwiki
    title:
    module: migrate_cmfwiki
    function: migrate_cmfwiki

  4. Open http://your.site/CMFWIKIFOLDER/migrate_cmfwiki in a browser to migrate a whole CMFWiki.

  5. Check the migration results at http://your.site/CMFWIKIFOLDER_zwiki

  6. Rename http://your.site/CMFWIKIFOLDER_zwiki to http://your.site/ZWIKIFOLDER

Tested with plone1.01 (2003/05/27). More testing needed!

Can the person who posted the traceback above, confirm if this is solved with the new version of migrate_cmfwiki.py at HowToMigrateACMFWiki ? Please also report CMF/CMFWiki/Zwiki version used.

We used this script on plone.org, but it did not keep the contents of the wiki that were not wiki pages (like images). Just so you know :) --limi

I suppose you must rename it from: migrate_cmfwiki.py.txt to: migrate_cmfwiki.py (skip the ".txt" at the end) Stephane
