How to move a non-Plone wiki into Plone:

1 using the Plone content management interface, create a Folder (or use the site folder)

2 using the ZMI, copy all wiki pages to this folder.
It's probably a good idea to omit the standard DTML pages (RecentChanges?, SearchPage?, UserOptions?) - more up-to-date skin templates will be used instead. (If you want DTML to work in the new wiki, you'll need to enable it with the allow_dtml folder property).

3 ignore any skin templates in the wiki

4 copy any uploaded files and the uploads subfolder if there is one.
Also the recycle_bin subfolder, if you wish.

5 transfer your zwiki-related folder properties, if any

6 add fields to the site catalog for best zwiki performance, unless it's already been done or
you have some reason not to, by visiting PAGEURL/setupCatalog. Or if you have issue pages (or want some) visit PAGEURL/setupTracker. (You don't need to do both).

7 in case your wiki hierarchy became flat, you might want to visit FrontPage/updatecontents to regenerate the wiki contents page.

Access same Zwiki from both standard and Plone skins, Mon, 26 Apr 2004 12:08:38 -0700 reply

I would like to have just one wiki that has two different modes of access - one "native" (aka. standard) mode without all the portal bells and whistles and one mode that is from inside Plone. Is this possible?
