See ZwikiIssueTracker for overview.

To enable issue tracking features in your wiki:

As manager, visit YOUR_WIKI_FRONTPAGE/setupTracker .

This will set up everything you need to activate Zwiki's issue tracking features (a catalog with extra fields, folder properties, a dummy first issue). It's ok to do this more than once, eg if you think your tracker configuration is out of date.

When there are issue pages in the wiki, you should see the "issues" site navigation link. In CMF/Plone you should see an "issue tracker" action link (if not, re-install Zwiki in Plone Setup).

By default, the issuetracker and filterissues skin-based forms are used. If you have a DTML-enabled wiki and want to use editable IssueTracker and FilterIssues pages like zwiki.org, do /setupTracker?pages=1 . If you don't have a DTML-enabled wiki and you still want to have these pages editable, make sure you only set the allow_dtml property on the IssueTracker,FilterIssues and IssueBrowser pages.

Several issue_ folder properties are installed, which you can change in the ZMI to customize your categories, severities, statuses, and colours. There's no support for adding extra properties right now, you'll have to modify Tracker.py and your issuetracker template or IssueTracker page. (But remember you can also use WikiBadges, page hierarchy or naming conventions to categorize issues).

You can set up a special mail-in address that will create issues, as follows:

I'd like to send the output from a form to two wikis: One wiki set up in the convetional way and one set up in issue-tracking mode. I assume that it is dangerous to have issue-tracking and non-issue-tracking wikis contained in the same folder so I created a subfolder ("downloadsubfolder") in the main form/wiki folder to contain the issue-tracking wiki. My question is this: What do I have to do to send the information from the form to the issue-tracking wiki contained in the subfolder? I tried to indicate the subfolder in the traditional way by using a slash like this:

 <dtml-call "DownloadWiki.comment(text=';\n\nName: %s;\n\nEmail: %s;\n\nInstitution Name: %s;\n\nCountry: %s;\n\nCollection Type: %s;\n\nComments: %s\n\n;' % (username,useremail,institutionname,country,collectiontype,comments), subject_heading='Registration', REQUEST=REQUEST)">

 <dtml-call "downloadsubfolder/Downloadissuetracker.createNextIssue(username,usermail,institutionname,country,collectiontype,comments,REQUEST=REQUEST)">

 <dtml-call "RESPONSE.redirect('downloadresponse')">

That didn't work. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Also any tips on how to customize fields in the issue-tracking wiki would be most welcome. I've got what seems to be a crude, brute-force technique that involves simply copying and editing existing entries, but maybe there are approaches more sophisticated than mine?

Thanks!

Scott

Could they be called EquipmentItems? and used to track equipment?

Any idea how to add it back in? Issues are still there but I don't know how to add menu items. Just starting to use this but also starting to depend on it. Thanks for the help. -Allen

What did you upgrade, ZWiki or Zope? I had a similar problem when I upgraded Zope from 2.7.7 to 2.8.1.

Hi Allen.. in 0.46 the issue link is disabled unless you customize the wikipage template and enable it (see the AdminGuide?). See recent discussion of this on GeneralDiscussion, and then please bring it up there if you think this should be on by default.

I think it should be on if you have the issuetracker installed. I do not see where to make the changes. Could you email or reply with specifics? Thanks
