I'm really JimFulton and am demoing Wiki to Ken.
And i'm really ken, looks like the demo stuck... I implemented WikiStructuringIdeas a while back, it's been incorporated to ZWiki. My recent (as of Jan, 2001) effort, WikiForNow, implements some permission by which page owners can specify who can edit, create new pages from the current page, rename, delete, etc. I think it's very timely for the kinds of vandalism that's shown up on this site and others. (It's crucial for the digital creation's "fishbowl", where development proposals and artifacts are maintained in public in wikis.) Here's a copy of RegulatingYourPages, describing the mechanism and rationale behind it...

Hi Ken - hey, here's something which I feel is worth asking - what are the chances of you & DC ever merging the plethora of zope.org wikis into a single giant zope wiki ? When I cross my eyes and don't think about it too hard, this seems like it could work better. --SM
- klm Jan 26, 01 - Funny you should ask, simon.-) Ultimately, my
interest here is all about organization and findability - getting
stuff so that it's in the right place when it's what people are
seeking. Now that WikiForNow is done i'm going to be focussing on
this more directly.
I'm going to be looking at formulating something we're calling "organization objects" - relationship specialists, for managing relationships like linkage (useful in the wiki context for backlinks, relocation forwarding, even keyword search, if you look at wiki names as a wiki's keywords...), modification time (in wiki context, RecentChanges?), lineage (parenting), etc. One central consideration will be connecting together organizations/collections - organizations of organizations. This whole thing is another way of looking at catalog functionality - the bridge between placeless (catalog) and placeful (location-based) search...
And all this said, i have to add, we'd be interested in bringing you in on the process. We should talk about that more... (Right now i have to dive back in to a immediate task, should surface again in a few days.)
