I often don't take the bother to look if a page has some children which might be usefull. Children are now often listed in the text.

What about something like <dtml-var showChildren()>

To give a unnumbered list(s) of the children of a current page, e.g.

This feature would be neat! The "content" of a "folder" in hierarchical structured wikis could be displayed dynamically. On the other hand is it necessary to add the a new child's name on the parent page to get the link to create it, so the list has to be maintained anyway.

It might also be usefull to have some kind of option which will give an "(this page has 3 children)" link beneath it (linking to ./map).

Another way is to use some kind of explorer like graphics in the PageHierarchy, eg.

[+] Page with children

Which will expand to the following after clicking on the [+]?-icon

[-] Page with children
 |---[+] Child with subschildren
 |------ Child without subchildren
