Why a StructuredText "escape" mechanism is needed..

  1. An HTML w/ DTML page will be edited in [EPOZ]?, thus losing DTML factors. (See Rss2--DON"T SAVE)
  2. Plain text escapes (``, and ::) don't catch everything. Examples:
  • SQL containing single quotes
  • Auto-line numbering frustrations

There are many levels to this: a. Page wide, b. Paragraph wide, c. Delimiter. (a. used to be The HTML/DTML page type, but that has Epoz conflicts AND STX is handy for many things..)
