When reparenting to pages that don't have a specific link to that page, then removing that link, the page will be parented to #100.

Also, there are similar problems with the footer page management form reparent control:

  1. A null or invalid value will remove all parents. Suggestion: Redirect to backlnks page--without removing any existing backlinks.
  2. A valid value will remove any MULTIPLE parents. Suggestion: Add teh backlink and re-direct to backlinks page for confirmation.--without removing any existing backlinks.

There are a number of reparenting glitches right now. Time to fix.

OK, I"m not going to test this one (just yet. ;0)

I'd want to deconstruct the first point: "the page management form - it's meant to be simple and quick"

+1, but..for more complex interactions (eg. implicit or surprising changes), re-direct to the backlinks page. (for the power to make it perfect along with an in-your-face view/confirmation.)

Well it can't do everything, and it shouldn't do anything surprising. Specific descriptions of new behaviour very welcome.

Should I open a new issue for the usability issues in this with regards to random (or vandalistic) button clicks mucking up the subtopic organization?
