Many wiki's have the feature to create a page from an existing page.

MoinMoin particularly lists all pages ending in "Template" (not so il8n friendly, maybe it's configurable.)

I'd prefer the editform have a textbox and/or drop-down w/ form which serves to append the content from an existing page to the current page.

I'm hoping this can be part of a "preview" process:

  1. Edit a page
  2. Select a "template", click "Import/Include"
  3. Current content + template page gets added, Preview is called
  4. User continues editing

Another bit of related functionalty is that this may need to be dtml-able for a user to provide a form on a wiki page, which when filled out and submitted returns the user to a new page editform with a specific template "pre-loaded".

Just as you're able to specify the parent when creating a page, could you declare the "template" ?

System Configuration (and specifically for Zope configuration, Zwiki configuration)

GoldOffer basic details. :-)

Would a drop-down on the Add an Issue form selecting an "extended details" template be useful?
