A desktop application for Mac OS X that support for remote editing of ZWiki (i.e. download all pages, edit page(s), upload page(s). You can create and upload from remotely, but not w/o problems at the moment), using Mac OS X "keychain" feature for security. If your desktop is Mac OS X and you spend any significant time in Zwiki, i would suggest that you check it out.

I gave this a 3 minute try. Standalone it was nifty. I tried to connect and it failed.

What is an example connection string for a ZWiki?

You might be interested in and want to rename PersonalWiki

Sticky "tabs" would be nice for STX editing, maybe even auto-double spacing! (Then a table drawer, OSX's spell checker...;-))

For connection with zwiki you need to install the script "externaledit" in ZWiki the URL to that script is then used to connect to the wiki. Sorry I could not create a connection with just by using the standard methods

Ok, I have ExternalEdit? on the wiki I'm trying to connect to. Does it need to be installed on the client machine?

Please let me know if you uncover any progress in the XmlRpc? front.

There is nothing needed on the client side, use the "Set URL" Dialog to put in the URL use the complete URL for the script. to check it script you can also call up the script in your browser, it should return a list of your pages. Permission settings might be checked, the script needs viewing and creating ZWiki page permission. (I guess I will have to amend to docs to include this information)

Hi Harald - would you consider renaming the externaledit script ? If I remember correctly it has nothing to to with ExternalEditor, and I was a bit confused.

I will rename it in the next release, i was not thinking about ExternalEditor when i did that. Nothing keeps you from using a different name right now. The name is not hardwired anywhere, HaraldScheirich
